Gerald Malloy for Congress 2026
Republican | Weathersfield, Vermont
Vermont deserves a representative who delivers results—not rhetoric.
For too long, Washington has been dominated by career politicians who divide us, overpromise, and underdeliver. The result? Higher costs, fewer opportunities, and a government that feels out of touch with everyday Vermonters.
It’s time for something different.
It’s time for proven leadership.
I bring over four decades of leadership experience, grounded in service, performance, and accountability. I’m not running to represent one party or one ideology—I’m running to represent all Vermonters and to get real results on the issues that matter most.
I will work to restore trust, reduce division, and move Vermont—and our country—forward.
My Priorities
A Stronger Vermont Economy
Vermont families are feeling the pressure—higher prices, fewer job opportunities, and too many barriers to growth.
I will:
* bring high-paying jobs back to Vermont
* Cut unnecessary federal regulations that hold back small businesses
* Support local industries—dairy, agriculture, and manufacturing
* Promote “Made in Vermont, Made in America”
* Push for fiscal discipline in Washington to reduce inflation
Unlike the current approach in Congress, I believe economic growth comes from empowering people—not expanding bureaucracy.
Lower Costs & Fiscal Responsibility
Washington’s overspending is driving inflation and making life more expensive.
I will:
* Oppose tax increases on Vermont families
* Work toward balanced budgets
* Protect and strengthen Social Security and Medicare—without cutting benefits
* Address high healthcare costs through market-based reforms, including patent reform to lower drug prices
Your money should work for you—not fuel wasteful spending in Washington.
Energy, Independence & Affordability
Vermont needs reliable, affordable energy—not policies that drive up costs.
I will:
* Support an all-of-the-above energy strategy
* Strengthen U.S. energy independence
* Encourage innovation in renewables—without costly mandates
* Lower heating, fuel, and electricity costs for Vermont families
Education That Puts Parents First
Our education system should serve students—not politics.
I will:
* Empower parents and local school boards to make decisions
* Support school choice and accountability
* Refocus funding on improving outcomes—not expanding bureaucracy
* Reduce the burden of student loans responsibly, without unconstitutional spending
Safe Communities & Strong National Defense
Safety is a fundamental responsibility of government.
I will:
* Fully support law enforcement
* Strengthen border and national security
* Ensure our military remains the strongest in the world—with accountability for spending
* Combat the opioid crisis by holding foreign actors accountable
Protecting the Constitution & Individual Rights
I will always stand for the Constitution and the rights of every Vermonter.
I will:
* Defend individual liberties and equal rights
* Support limited, accountable government
* Uphold the 10th Amendment and states’ rights
* Oppose federal overreach on issues better decided locally
* Support term limits to bring fresh leadership to Washington
A Clear Contrast
Vermonters deserve a representative who listens, respects different viewpoints, and focuses on solutions—not division.
While Becca Balint has supported policies that expand federal control and spending, I will focus on practical solutions, economic growth, and restoring balance in Washington.
My Pledge to Vermont
I will:
* Serve all Vermonters, not special interests
* Be accessible and accountable
* Never use public office for personal gain
* Be honest about what can—and cannot—be achieved
* Work across differences to get results
My values are simple: Duty. Honor. Country.
I’m running to restore trust in government, deliver real results, and build a stronger, more united Vermont.
Together, we can move forward.
