Profile Gerald Malloy for United States Senate Vermont

Gerald Malloy Republican running for United States Congress, Vermont

Gerald Malloy
I am seeking to serve Vermonters, Vermont, and the United States of America. I am deeply concerned about the direction Vermont is heading, and I believe we need experienced, principled leadership to change course and secure a stronger future.

Background
I am married to my wife, Stacey Malloy. We are proud parents of four children. Like many Vermont families, we are navigating the challenges of rising costs, education, and building a future for the next generation.

I was born in Boston and entered West Point at age 18. I served 22 years on active duty in the United States Army, leading soldiers around the world in defense of our nation. Following my military service, I continued supporting our country through government roles and have spent years working closely with our military—primarily in the Washington, D.C. area.

In the private sector, I have succeeded in highly competitive environments, helping grow technology and service businesses and creating jobs. I hold an MBA from Temple University, a graduate certificate from Georgetown University, and completed the Army Command and General Staff College.

Throughout my career, I have worked with more than 20 allied nations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Persian Gulf, as well as extensively across federal, state, and local government agencies. I bring energy, discipline, and a mission-focused mindset to everything I do.

I am the oldest of nine children, a decorated veteran, and an active member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks, Moose, NRA, and Annunciation Church. I was also a former Army hockey and baseball player.

Vermont Values & Leadership
I love Vermont—its people, its traditions, its natural beauty, and its strong sense of community. From the outdoors to the changing seasons to making maple syrup, Vermont represents the very best of America.

Today, Vermont’s federal delegation all leans in the same political direction. Regardless of where you stand politically, that lack of balance means too many Vermonters feel unheard.

I have been consistent in my values as a commonsense, moderate Republican—focused on fiscal responsibility, strong national security, and practical solutions that support working families, small businesses, and local communities. Vermont has a long tradition of independent thinking, and I believe we are strongest when we have balanced representation that brings different perspectives to the table.

Most of all, I value time with my family and believe we must preserve the Vermont way of life for future generations.
